Drew and Emily started dating eight years ago and when they met Emily was in 6th grade, Drew was in 8th grade – talk about a long time! Five of those eight years had been long distance while Emily was completing her teaching degree in Oklahoma (which she finished this past May!) – to say these two are excited to be married and finally together (forever!) is an understatement. Emily was a jaw dropping bride that really did light up the room when the doors opened and Drew was passionately excited and animated every moment of the day to be married to his bride (the pictures are proof!).  Not only was their wedding Christ centered their entire relationship has been rooted in the love of Jesus and every way you looked was a testament to that – the bridesmaids fervently prayed over Emily before she walked down the aisel, they partook in the biblical foot washing ceremony together, and the stories of how big their hearts are for the Lord was repeated over and over during each and every speech given. Two families truly did become one over the weekend – Emily’s parents and Drew’s parents are great, long-time friends and their children brought it all together in a grand celebration of that love for one another.Below is the wedding story of the Dykstra’s – thank you to everyone who made their story a day to remember!
