Maybe it was our long adventure to Door County for their engagement session or almost a year of emailing back and forth about wedding plans – but it is true when I say I was a tad bit sad leaving their wedding knowing our time together as client/vendor was over. Katie and Jeff are the kind of people that welcome you in and the friends that you would probably sip a few too many Pinot Grigio’s around a campfire with – if you know what I mean. The love for their family and friends was apparent with a packed church on a gorgeous Friday afternoon and over 400 people who joined them for their first dinner as husband and wife at the Grand Meridian. Katie’s older brother had the place in tears during his speech where he paid tribute to their father who was gone too soon to walk Katie down the aisle and who would have been so proud to see his Katie marry the man of her dreams – even if he is a Packers fan! The rest of the night was filled with plenty of cake, drinks, and dancing and so many smiles and laughs – you really could just feel the tremendous love and celebration for these two throughout the room.
