I only knew Mike and Viki for a short while, they booked me four months before their wedding, and oh how I wish my time with them as their photographer was a tad bit longer. If you want to know how to pull off the classiest of weddings, talk to these two! The night I met with Mike and Viki to discuss their plans they told me that this wasn’t about the wedding for them, this wasn’t about the details and this wasn’t about the fancy meal. It wasn’t even about being at Lambeau Field. It was about their children, about becoming a family, it was showing their kids what marriage is – not just a wedding, it was believing in second chances. There was no cake. no bouquet toss, no crazy morning-of-shenanigans. It was a simple, eloquent day and one of the most love filled weddings I have witnessed. With age comes knowledge and Mike and Viki’s love story is a great testimony to that – you just never know what life will bring to the table and these two have taken that journey with such grace. They are now blessed with five children, a new home, and a love that unites them all.
After getting ready at Tundra Lodge, Mike was waiting for Viki to arrive at Pamperin Park for their first look. Mike’s reaction was priceless as he turned around to see his bride for the first time that day. They whispered and laughed and chatted and their joy was absolutely apparent as their children watched at a picnic table from across the park. Once the first look and family photos were finished, Lambeau Field was waiting. The view from their ceremony was breath taking as they exchanged vows and promised forever to each other. Surrounded by close friends and family, Viki and Mike became Mr and Mrs and celebrated the rest of the evening, complete with an amazing meal from the Lambeau kitchen and great music on the dance floor.
Take a look below at the newlyweds and their new family – thank you Mike and Viki for showing us such a great love story!
