I am so excited to announce that Emily Megan is growing! I have reached a point in business where I am ready to expand and build up others around me. I can’t wait to be surrounded with people who are just as passionate as I am!
Why am I doing this? I am only taking on five (5!) more weddings myself for the 2018 season and would love to expand my team to deliver amazing images to even more couples. By adding on associates under the Emily Megan brand, brides are able to receive an Emily Megan experience and have their final wedding images in the same style. If an associate is chosen for their wedding, I will still be in communication with them through the planning process, but will not be there the day of as the lead photographer.
I will be teaching my team the ins and outs of my business along with my style and techniques. Posing, editing, client experience – you’ll learn it all! Team meetings, styled shoots, and events will also be included. I hope my team becomes more than employees, I genuinely hope we become a family and this grows into creating dream jobs and lives for everyone who works with me!
I am willing to create a position for the perfect match, however, I know I am looking for three positions to fill: second shooter, editor, and associate. Take a look below at the details if you think you might be a great fit!
Assistant/Second Shooter
My second shooter will work exclusively with me at every wedding. This past 2017 season I hired on a second photographer for each wedding as independent contractors and would like to work with someone consistently that I can teach my shooting style to. Assistants and second photographers also have the possibility to become an associate if they desire.
Requirements: Upbeat attitude, above and beyond customer service skills, passion for the wedding industry, willingness to learn. Equipment and experience are not necessary, but ideal.
Pay: Hourly or Per Event
Availability: Must be available most weekends May-October
In-House Editor
An editor to work with me and help with culling, editing, and blogging as needed. Local is ideal but can work remotely.
Requirements: Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
Pay: Based on turn around time and per image
Availability: Can work from home on own time
Associate
An associate is a photographer who is strong enough to shoot on their own. When I am booked for a date or an inquiry needs a lower price point, I can refer them to my associate. The client still receives an Emily Megan experience and the same final style of images, however, I will not be the photographer on their wedding day. Associates must be willing to sign a limited “non-compete” clause.
Requirements: Full-Frame Camera, wedding experience, social media presence
Responsibilities: Emails, Client Consultation, Engagement Session, Wedding Day Coverage
Pay: $800-$1000+ per wedding
Availability: Available to book weddings 12-18 months in advance.

Oh! And what does this mean for clients? It means the Emily Megan experience is going to be even better! Client service, turn around times, consistency, response rates, availability, and quality are going to be above and beyond. I can’t wait to up the “wow” factor.
2018, I can’t wait for ya to get here! Be on the lookout for even more announcements in the coming months!
Cheers!
