I headed to Chicago last weekend for Ryan and Sylvia’s engagement session. During out initial meeting they said that was the place they wanted their photos taken and I couldn’t be more excited! New places and spaces are always the best! I met them at their home and then we traveled into the city together. What a fun time we had, Sylvia had me laughing so much and Ryan was the perfect navigator downtown Chicago. We explored Lincoln Park, got a gorgeous view of the skyline right by the waterfront, and went to the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond – which I’m quite certain is the city’s best kept secret! We felt like we were in another world and you would never know you were in the heart of the Windy City – so peaceful! The trees were full of blooms and there were baby ducks (see below!). Ryan and Sylvia are top notch clients, they treated me so well, I felt like I was exploring the city with old friends. Only 21, they are wise beyond their years and have got the adult thing down. After the session, they took me on a tour of the city and showed me some of the attractions the city has to offer – the best tour guides! We even grabbed Mexican food, because they know how much I love it (thanks, guys!). They are just the most accommodating and gracious hosts, such a dream to work with them! They are coming home to get married in Oshkosh next year, but I am so excited to see the style they bring with them from Chicago. I know their wedding will be classic and glamorous all at the same time!
