Jessica and Kyle weren’t sure if they needed to do an engagement session before their wedding, but let me tell you, I am SO glad they opted to hang with me for a bit! (If you are wondering the same, check out this post about the engagement session experience.) Not only are these photos stunning, Kyle and Jessica are just so much fun as a couple and complete naturals in front of the camera. When we decided to do their engagement session at 1000 Islands in Kaukauna, I knew there were a few “unbeaten paths” that I wanted to explore with them, so I asked Jessica to make sure they brought their boots because we were going off-road it a bit. We discovered a few places that you would never know were there and definitely got a little messy and muddy to get to them – I am so happy they were open to my (sometimes crazy) ideas!
And really, who knew November in Wisconsin could be so gosh darn pretty? With the weather being cold and rainy the days leading up to their session, a small concern was if the weather was going to work in our favor so that it didn’t look so drab as some late fall/early winter days can around here. Well, we had the most gorgeous sunlight and sunset I have seen in a long time, still had some fall color to work with AND the temps were way above average. It was dreamy and I had just the best time hanging out with them! Take a look below and check out some favs, can’t wait to see them again as Mr and Mrs!
