I have never seen a “themed” wedding done so well! And by themed, I mean everything Nikki and Trent! The Waters was the perfect venue for the small hum of nautical details they incorporated throughout the day. A ceremony arch made of driftwood they collected themselves, ship wheel place cards, a custom-made crest with their names, rope detailing on the cake, compass cuff links, even their dog’s name is Captain! Avid boaters who live on Lake Winnebago, the vibe of their day was absolutely perfect. Simply classic and timeless but carefree to feel like you could easily be hangin’ on the water with your closest friends in a “Lake Life” sweatshirt.
And even though the aesthetic details were amazing, the personal touches outweighed them all. Trent’s father married them at the altar, Nikki’s younger brother walked her down the aisle. Captain even got to debut and escort Trent during the presessional. Many toasts, cheers, and nods to the couple during dinner which shined a light on how much they are loved. And on the dance floor, The Dave Steffen Band was the entertainment for the night, a band that Trent and Nikki enjoy together on nights out, such a fun experience for their guests!
Nikki and Trent are such a great example of how to enjoy your wedding day without worrying about the hustle of the lil things. They enjoyed every moment surrounded by their family and friends and these photos capture a small glimpse of all the love that was there for them.
Congrats Dr. and Mrs. Paffenroth!

Time to get married! Off to The Waters!
The First Look location was a private balcony looking over Lake Winnebago and the ceremony space.
It’s only fitting that their dog’s name is Captain!
Nikki’s brother, Jake, walked her down the aisle.
Nikki danced with her step-bother, Eric, in place of a father-daughter dance. So, so sweet!
