You could hear the thunder during their ceremony but the clouds stopped raining as soon as we walked outside for pictures. A quick last-minute decision landed us at 1000 Islands Nature Preserve in Kaukauna and it provided us with the most beautiful images. Their bridal party’s dusty blue color palette popped against the dewy backdrop and was absolutely stunning!

Nick and Kayla officially met at a wedding Kayla “crashed” – how fun is that?!

“We crossed paths many times before actually dating. I use to work at Aurora hospital and Nick would come play piano there. I would often see him (not knowing who he was) and thought he was really cute and very good on the piano. Fast forward a year or two and it’s my best friends wedding – I was maid of honor and Nick played the piano for it. It was another year before we actually officially met on the dance floor of a different wedding and started dating.”

Nick and Kayla are the most genuinely happy couple and it shows in these photos below. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Swenty!
