Mark & Katie | Manawa Masonic Center Wedding | Wisconsin Wedding Photographer
As a wedding photographer a lot of weddings start to look the same – there is always the walk down the aisle, the first kiss, the first dance – all the milestones that make a wedding day. However, after Mark and Katie’s wedding I left with a lot of sincere memories and moments. From Katie’s monogrammed “getting ready” shirt to Mark’s speech at dinner, there were so many personal touches. I loved that Katie’s sisters were her bridesmaids and some of my favorite photos of the day are of the three of them together. I loved that 16 states were represented by guests, a true testimony how much these two are loved by others. I loved how the necklace that Katie wore was originally her grandmothers and each girl in the family has worn it at their own wedding. I loved how they represented both Wisconsin and Georgia (where Mark is from) by naming each table after a type of cheese and gifting their guests with Southern Candied Pecans. I loved how all of Mark’s fraternity brothers referred to him as “Tator” as if he didn’t have any other name. Oh, and I also loved how Katie and her sister got “hooked” together when they hugged after the maid of honor speech – priceless! There were SO many things that I loved and so many unexpected surprises.
Mark and Katie got married at St Mary’s Church in Bear Creek, the church Katie grew up in and had a celebration at the Manawa Masonic Center – it doesn’t get much more small town Wisconsin than that and it was a beautiful spring day to start their marriage! Take a look below at some of the highlights of the day and make sure to leave them a comment in the section below!
Love all the smiles! Great pictures!
